Ali Abuzinjal is a distinguished professional with over two decades of dedicated experience in Information Technology and Technology Management. His career is highlighted by significant achievements in various sectors, making a profound impact on the technology landscape.

At Etisalat, the premier telecommunications company in the United Arab Emirates, Ali played a pivotal role in several pioneering projects. He was instrumental in launching the UAE’s first Wireless Broadband network, which provided high-speed internet and TV services to over 100,000 subscribers, significantly reshaping the industry.

Ali’s expertise also encompasses smart city and digital transformation projects. He was a key figure in the development of Al Reem Island Smart City, marking a milestone in the UAE and the broader region for innovative urban solutions.

In 2008, Ali assumed the role of Infrastructure and Backbone Connectivity Manager for an international project, contributing to the successful introduction of Etisalat Nigeria. This role underscored his ability to manage complex technological initiatives across borders.

2019 marked a new chapter in Ali’s career as he joined the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Science Park. In this capacity, he focuses on consultancy and guidance for startups, aiming to boost productivity, foster scientific research, and cultivate innovation and advanced industries in line with the UAE’s vision of a diversified knowledge economy. As the public face of the Science Park, Ali regularly shares insights on technological advancements and their societal implications on various television platforms.

Ali’s academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering (2002) and a Master’s degree in Smart Cities and Data Privacy (2019), both from Khalifa University. These qualifications have laid a solid foundation for his contributions to the field.

His recent roles and accomplishments include serving as the Head of Digital Transformation at Sharjah Research Park, being a distinguished Board Member and founder of the UAE Automation Society, serving as the UAE Platinum Coding Ambassador for Technology, engaging in scientific research at the EBTIC Research Institute, and founding SAFIR Global for Marketing Management.

In 2024, Ali expanded his entrepreneurial endeavors by launching ICONX, a company that specializes in marketing for existing businesses. Additionally, he co-founded Mining Grid, a recognized startup operating in the field of mining. Mining Grid has been acknowledged by the Dubai Chamber as one of the most promising tech startups in the UAE, further testament to Ali’s visionary leadership and his continuous contribution to the technological and entrepreneurial landscape of the region.
